First Day Homecare is seeking skilled Private Duty Nurses (RN or LPN) to provide one-on-one care to an adult client in the St. Peter/Mankato area. Nurses will deliver individualized nursing care in a home setting, supporting families and coordinating with the Clinical Supervisor.

This role fits an RN or LPN with tracheostomy care and ventilator management experience, or a compassionate nurse willing to learn. Training and support are provided.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Current MN RN or LPN license.
• Current CPR certification.
• Demonstrated written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Licensed driver with automobile insured in accordance with state and/or Agency requirements.

Responsabilités

• Provides professional nursing care as defined in the state Nurse Practice Act.
• Provides care in accordance with medical practitioner orders and the client’s care plan.
• Maintains orders for clients and documents all changes in orders in the medical record following Agency procedures.
• The scope of clinical practice includes personal care services, monitoring and reporting findings, medication administration, client teaching, emergency intervention, and specialized services such as tracheostomy care, ventilator management, and tube feedings.
• Works collaboratively with other members of the client’s care team.
• Promotes personal safety and a safe environment for clients and coworkers.
• Performs job in compliance with Agency policies, procedures, and applicable payor and accreditation standards.
• Participates in the coordination of care and attends Agency meetings as requested.
• Performs other related duties and responsibilities as deemed necessary.
