Job summary

Advocate Health Care in North Carolina is hiring for a Part-time PRN Patient Safety Attendant. The role involves staying with patients to provide constant observation, documenting required information, and communicating with the RN to ensure safety and care.

Training includes CPI and BLS certifications, with preferred prior hospital exposure. Compensation includes a pay range of $18.85 to $28.30 per hour, with benefits eligible discussed at interview.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Basic Life Support Certification required.
• CPI certification required prior to patient observation.
• Previous hospital experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe environment and remain with patient to provide observation as delegated by the RN.
• Document information required during the patient observation experience.
• Perform handoff communication with the RN regarding pertinent patient information.
• Assist nursing team in maintaining a ligature-resistant environment.
• Notify and update the licensed nurse of patient safety and care needs.
• Foster positive and professional communication between patients and staff.
• Adhere to all policies and procedures.
