Job summary

Brightmont Academy seeks a Part-Time ASL Instructor to deliver one-to-one American Sign Language instruction. This role emphasizes a flexible schedule and a focus on individual student growth, with no required lesson planning or outside work.

You will support students using G-Suite and an LMS, demonstrate patience and empathy, and pass a federal background check to ensure a safe learning environment. Training and ongoing professional growth are provided.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching American Sign Language.
• Patience & empathy: support students as they learn at their own pace.
• A heartfelt passion for teaching and helping students succeed.
• Proficiency using G-Suite and Learning Management Software (LMS).
• Ability to pass a federal background check.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one ASL instruction tailored to each student’s needs.
• Teach in a flexible, student-centered format with no required lesson planning for the instructor.
• Engage in a supportive, encouraging learning environment and track progress.
