Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience with the appropriate age group.

Responsibilities

• Assist classroom teacher in providing developmentally appropriate activities for students by implementing concrete learning activities that meet varied developmental needs, including working with ELL students.
• Assist students into and out of buildings and classrooms; may include lifting and carrying of students.
• Assist teacher during field trips and emergency drills.
• Assist teacher with classroom routines such as snacks, dishes, clean-up, bathroom and related tasks.
• Help maintain a healthy and safe environment for children and take on duties assigned by the building principal.
• Health positions only: feeding, diaper changes and toileting children.

Education

48 college credits or more
