Responsibilities

Implement instructional lessons under supervision of a certified teacher.
Familiarize self with IEP goals for students.
Facilitate implementation of functional community-based curriculum.
Follow through on behavioral programs and procedures.
Document student behavior as directed by the teacher.
Supervise IEP'd students during meals, breaks, arrivals, and departures, and during community trips as needed.
Assist with loading/unloading of student buses as required.
Escort students within the building per classroom direction.
Collaborate with the teacher and prepare materials.
Lift, transfer, and position students as needed for routines.
