Job summary

Brightmont Academy is seeking a Part-Time Math & Science Teacher to provide one-to-one instruction to a student, focusing on personalized lessons and minimal outside work. The role offers a ~20 hour/week schedule with a pay range of $24–$30 per hour.

Qualifications include a Bachelor's Degree in a STEM field, strong empathy, and proficiency with G-Suite and LMS. Applicants must be able to pass a background check and provide fingerprints for WA/AZ.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in subject area (Math, Chemistry, Physics, Engineering, Biology)
• Patience & empathy to support diverse learners
• Heart for teaching and passion to share subjects with students
• Proficiency with G-Suite and Learning Management Software (LMS)
• Ability to provide fingerprints (AZ, WA) and pass a federal background check

Responsibilities

• Teach students one-to-one, tailoring lessons to their needs and learning styles
• Deliver instruction with no required lesson planning or outside work
• Foster student mastery and confidence through a guided release approach
• Engage in professional development opportunities to grow teaching skills
