San Juan Unified School District is seeking a part-time Instructional Assistant II for Barrett Middle School (6 hours/day, 8:00 AM–2:30 PM). The IA II will support students in Resource, Learning Handicap or General Education settings, assist the teacher, run small groups, and help manage classroom activities.

QUALIFICATIONS

Instructional Assistant II's mild/moderate - working with students served in Resource, Learning Handicap or Communicatively Handicap programs. Example of typical duties include running small groups, assisting students in large groups in both Special Day Class settings or General Education and supporting the teacher's needs. We are looking for candidates with any combination of experience and training which provides the candidate with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job duties; See the job description for full details. In some programs, possession of, or willingness and ability to obtain a valid California Class C Driver License within 30 days of hire or before driving any equipment/vehicle requiring this license. • Title I Sites: Must pre-qualify by attaching one documentation [A, B, C, or D item] from the following list:
