Job summary

Tutor Me Education in Inglewood, CA is seeking passionate tutors with special education experience to provide 1:1 in-home tutoring for students with diverse needs. The role focuses on early literacy, numeracy, and communication within a supportive home setting.

You will collaborate with families and ABA therapists to implement IEP-based instruction, adapt materials for accessibility, and use multisensory methods to engage learners—especially Deaf and hard-of-hearing students using ASL.

Qualifications

• Experience with early literacy, numeracy, and communication strategies.
• Fluent in ASL with Deaf/HOH experience.
• Experience adapting materials for accessibility.
• Experience working with ABA frameworks is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized instruction in literacy, numeracy, and communication aligned with developmental level.
• Support total communication strategies, incorporating ASL, gestures, and visual/tactile cues.
• Collaborate with ABA therapists to maintain consistent supports.
• Use multisensory, hands-on, and visual teaching methods to boost engagement.
• Track progress and report updates to families and support teams.
• Maintain a patient, structured learning environment tailored to sensory and learning needs.
