Job summary

First Day Homecare is seeking a Home Health Aide in California to provide personal care under the direction of a Registered Nurse or Therapist. The Aide is assigned to specific clients by the Registered Nurse or other appropriate professional who performs services for clients to maintain their personal comfort and well‑being.

Reports To: Clinical Supervisor. Provides Supervision To: NA – No supervision responsibilities.

Qualifications

Ability to read, write and follow a written care plan.
Good verbal and interpersonal communication.
Active California Home Care Aide Registry registration.
CPR certification and TB clearance are required.
Complete entry level and annual training.

Responsibilities

Provide companionship and transportation to clients per care plan.
Assist with ADLs such as bathing, meals, and transfers.
Report changes to supervisor as outlined in the care plan.
Document care provided and maintain accurate records for the Agency.
Work with the client’s care team and communicate effectively.
Promote client safety by infection control practices.
Attend in-service programs to meet compliance and notify supervisors of educational needs.
