Job summary

Montgomery County Public Schools seeks a part-time paraeducator to provide 1:1 support for a grade 3 student at William B. Gibbs, Jr. Elementary School in Germantown. The role includes instructional assistance, behavior support, and light clerical tasks to help teachers throughout the school day.

The position requires an associate’s degree (bachelor’s preferred) and experience with students in structured settings. Flexible scheduling and possible outside duties may apply.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of child development and instructional strategies.
• Ability to monitor and ensure appropriate student behavior.
• Ability to communicate effectively with students, staff and families.
• Familiarity with English language reading/writing/speaking.

Responsibilities

• Assist with instructional and classroom management supports.
• Support 1:1 and small group instruction.
