CAS: Nebraska is seeking a 4hr 1:1 Emotional Disability Special Education Assistant in Fort Wayne, IN. The role supports teachers with instruction, clerical tasks, student management and daily living activities for students with emotional disabilities during the school year.

The position is part-time, with a pay rate of $16.01–$19.03 per hour and requires a high school diploma or GED. Work hours typically fall between 7:15am and 3:30pm, and candidates should be flexible, able to relate to

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Prefer prior experience with students with special needs.
• Must be flexible and able to adapt to changing needs.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers with instructional, clerical, student management and daily life activities for students with emotional disability.
• Provide support in general classrooms as needed and supervise students.
• Participate in training provided by the Special Education Department.
