Job summary

Hancock County Educational Service Center in Findlay, Ohio, seeks a 1:1 Aide/Paraprofessional for a cross-categorical elementary classroom at Cory-Rawson School. You will support a student with academic, social, and behavioral needs, provide encouragement, and work under the supervision of the classroom teacher.

Candidates should have a clean background check, an Ohio aides license or be willing to apply, a high school diploma, and completed training.

Qualifications

• Clean background check.
• ODE aide license – apply if you do not have one.
• High School Diploma.
• Participate in required training as provided.
• RBT training preferred or willingness to be trained.
• High School/Trade School degree preferred.
• Citizenship, residency or work visa required.

Responsibilities

• Show patience and provide support to students with academic, social, and behavioral needs.
• Support and encourage the student in class work.
• Assist student with class work in small groups and individually.
• Work under the supervision of the classroom teacher.
• Be willing to be trained to meet behavioral and educational needs.
• Assist with toileting and personal hygiene for students.
