Job summary

UCP of Western Massachusetts is seeking an Agency with Choice Advocate 1:1 in North Adams, MA. This part-time role (20-25 hours per week) involves supporting adults with disabilities in daily living and community activities, including time at drop-in centers and in the community.

Ideal candidates are at least 18 with a high school diploma, able to work independently, and capable of maintaining confidential information.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential for assisting adults with disabilities.
• Ability to work independently, organize tasks, and follow through on responsibilities.
• Respect privacy and maintain confidential information at all times.
• Demonstrated empathy and calm, supportive approach in social and community settings.
• Flexibility with hours, including some evenings or weekends when needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living and community engagement.
• Support member in socializing and participating in activities at centers or in the community.
• Help members navigate life skills, hobbies, and transportation as needed.
• Document interactions and progress according to agency guidelines.
