Job summary

1:1 assignments emphasize personal care, mobility support and participation in activities within the school day. Starting date is immediate; applicants should hold a CNA certification and CPR/First Aid.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• CNA Certification.
• Documentation of job specific training/competency.
• CPR/First Aid certification or successful completion within 6 months or hire date.

Responsibilities

• Maintains confidentiality of medical and educational concerns in the school setting.
• Collaborates with the student’s school nurse, teacher and therapists to support the student’s education.
• Demonstrates professional behavior when interacting with staff, parents and students.
• Self-directed and works within the scope of the job description.
• Takes directives and ensures a high level of student care.
• Communicates effectively with the student, supervising nurse, classroom staff and others.
• Safely manage and operate equipment and supplies.
• Follow school policies on attendance, hours and safety.
• Maintain professional appearance and school ID/name tags.
• Assist with 1:1 student participation in swimming activities as needed.

Education

High School Diploma or Equivalent
