Job summary

Specialized Education Services, Inc. (SESI), a division of FullBloom, seeks a paraprofessional/behavior aide to support students with intensive behavioral needs.

You will work one-on-one within diverse classrooms, implementing individualized education plans and behavior support strategies to foster growth and safety. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to monitor progress, collect data, and communicate with families, while participating in a PBIS framework and CASE model to

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Experience in educational settings with intensive behavioral needs preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work one on one with an assigned student to meet goals in their IEP, providing accommodations and modifications as necessary.
• Assist in the development and modification of behavior support plans.
• Implement behavior support plans; record and track data on behaviors, progress toward goals, and incidents.
• Utilize behavior support and intervention strategies.
• Implement de-escalation techniques, crisis management, and physical restraint if necessary to maintain student safety.
• Foster a positive and inclusive environment that encourages development of social and behavioral skills.
• Supervise students and ensure they are monitored at all times, including transitions between locations.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure consistent implementation of behavior support plans.
• Provide personal care support as needed by the student.
• Communicate effectively with parents.
