Lexington Public Schools in Lexington, MA seeks a 1.0 FTE Long-Term Substitute Resource Room Teacher to cover an immediate leave of absence through December 11, 2026. The position is non-benefits eligible and at-will, paying $175 per diem for days worked.
The teacher will modify curriculum for students eligible for special education, implement IEPs, supervise paraprofessionals, develop lesson plans, and collaborate with school staff to ensure students participate fully in the general curriculum.

Reports to: Building Principal and the Director of Special Education
Terms of Employment: To cover an immediate leave of absence to approximately December 11, 2026, unless circumstances dictate a change.
$175 per diem for days worked. Non-benefits eligible, at-will position.

Job Qualifications:
Masters Degree in Special Education preferred
DESE certification in moderate disabilities required at the appropriate grade level required; DESE certification in severe disabilities and previous experience will also be considered if moderate license is pursued within the first year of employment
Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and possess a high level of capability with technology.
