Essential Function
Store Managers are responsible for hiring, developing, and leading all store associates while ensuring optimal customer experiences, effectively overseeing all store operations, and maintaining brand standards. Develop strategies and plans to achieve key performance indicators and financial targets through business analysis, action planning, effective communication, and consistent accountability. Assistant Managers, as part of their development, support the Store Manager in all outlined areas and are responsible for all primary duties when the Store Manager is not present.

Job Title: Assistant Manager
Primary Duties
- 30% Brand: Provides supervision and supports the planning of associates' daily goals and activities to deliver an exceptional client experience, maximizing sales/KPIs, and driving customer loyalty. Ensures all brand standards are met, such as merchandising, POGs, marketing, back rooms, dress code, etc. Acts as the main contact to resolve customer issues and concerns. Analyzes store trends and anticipates customer demands.
- 30% People: Engages, trains, and develops teams to achieve positive results. Recruits to build a strong network of external candidates. Identifies strengths and opportunities for associates and addresses them through coaching or counseling. Maintains positive relations, resolves concerns, and communicates effectively. Fosters diversity, inclusion, and belonging.
- 30% Operations: Ensures execution of all company processes through training, management, analysis, and continuous improvement. Utilizes digital strategies such as Omni-channel fulfillment.
- Manages inventory, payroll, store opening/closing procedures, and ensures timely follow-through on directives and projects.
- 10% Safety/Loss Prevention: Ensures a safe environment, enforces policies, protects assets, and ensures compliance with all safety and HAZMAT training requirements.
Knowledge, Skills/Abilities and Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Must be 18 years or older
- Preferred 3+ years retail sales/customer service experience
- Preferred 1+ year management experience
- Ability to lead/support teams to meet objectives
- Effective communication skills
- Flexible scheduling availability
- Cosmetology license is desirable but not required
