TITLE: Level 1 Warehouse Picker

POSITION OBJECTIVE: Efficiently and accurately select and retrieve items from inventory for shipment or production use. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring that the correct products are picked, packed, and prepared for distribution, thereby supporting the smooth operation of the warehouse and meeting customer demands.

Hiring for 4pm to 12:30am shift

Starting at $15.00 per hr. – earn $2.00 more per hour on 4p to 12am.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Legal eligibility to work in the US
  • Previous work experience in a manufacturing setting preferred with knowledge of production processes, quality control, and use of Warehouse Location Management Systems.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with all levels of personnel
  • Proficiency in reading and writing English.
  • Basic math skills and mechanical aptitude for machines used in the production process.
  • Ensure consistent, dependable attendance and demonstrate a willingness to accommodate non-standard work hours as necessary.
  • Capable of effectively managing job-related stress and fostering productive workplace interactions.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Complies with, monitors, and enforces all written and verbal safety regulations and programs of the plant and department.
  • Pass all required training to safely operate forklift and load hogs.
  • Understand and adhere to plant policies and procedures.
  • Process work orders, documents number of units handled, interpret verbal instructions to determine tasks, and transmit data for invoicing.
  • In charge of promptly and accurately picking customer orders while also preparing them for shipment through pallet addressing labeling, and wrapping.
  • Stages finished product in proper locations within the warehouse or loads the finished product onto the truck.
  • Moves freight, stock, and other materials to and from storage and production areas, loading docks, delivery vehicles, and containers by hand or by using electric pallet trucks, forklifts, and other equipment.
  • Install protective devices to prevent shifting or damage to items being transported.

WORK ENVIRONMENT CONDITIONS SUBJECTED TO IN THIS POSITION:

  • The warehouse is not climate controlled. Must be able to work in an environment that is extremely hot, humid in the summer months, and cold in the winter months.
