Job summary

Crafted Staff is seeking a Materials Handler in Visalia, CA. Training occurs in Madera before launching in Visalia. You will move materials safely with forklifts, handle inventory, and prepare shipments.

Reliable transport for training is required, and mileage is paid for training travel. Qualified candidates have 1–3 years in materials handling, forklift experience, basic math/computer skills, and proficiency reading drawings/BOMs.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years in material handling, shipping/receiving, or warehouse operations.
• Forklift experience required; crane/rigging a plus.
• Basic math and computer skills.
• Ability to read drawings, bills of materials (BOMs), and work instructions.
• Experience with inventory control and storeroom procedures.
• Familiarity with shipping software (UPS) and freight carriers.
• Able to read, write, and communicate in English.

Responsibilities

• Safely move materials using forklifts and other equipment.

Materials Handler

Compensation: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour.

Training will take place in Madera, before starting in Visalia. Client will pay for mileage while new hire trains in Madera. New hire must have reliable transportation for training. Must be able to pass a background and drug screen. Interview is a phone or virtual call followed by onsite.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely move materials throughout the facility using forklifts and other equipment
• Issue and receive materials for job orders and inventory
• Load, unload, pick, pack, and ship customer orders
• Build crates and pallets as needed for shipments
• Perform daily cycle counts and inventory reconciliation
• Maintain accurate records of materials and shipments
• Coordinate with freight carriers and support shipping logistics
• Follow all safety procedures, complete required training, and perform daily equipment checks

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in material handling, shipping/receiving, or warehouse operations
• Forklift experience required (crane/rigging experience a plus)
• Basic math and computer skills
• Ability to read and understand drawings, bills of materials, and work instructions
• Experience with inventory control and storeroom procedures
