Detailed Description

Performs tasks such as, but not limited to, the following:

Follow work instructions to manually assemble mechanical builds

Perform limited in-process function testing of products.

Perform in process visual inspections of components to identify anything wrong prior to installation.

In addition you will help perform inventory audits of your area and line setups as needed.

  • Prior mechanical assembly experience is required.
  • Prior experience using calibrated torque tools required.
  • High level of detail and quality standards.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Basic understanding of math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
  • Ability to recognize problems in the assembly process or with assembly components and work with their direct supervisor and/or engineering to address those problems.
  • Ability to communicate effectively within the team.
  • Ability to work effectively with team members and lead the team to high quality production within tight deadlines.
  • Knowledge of computer applications and the ability to accurately perform tasks in some or all of the following applications: Word, Excel and Documentation control systems.
  • Understanding of cleanroom protocols preferred.
Physical Demands
  • Duties of this position are performed in an ISO 5 Cleanroom manufacturing environment with occasional to frequent exposure to elements such as noise, chemicals, operating machinery, etc.
  • ISO 5 Cleanroom requires a full bunny suit to enter.
  • Duties of the position require periodic light physical effort and exertion including prolonged repetitive motions requiring manual dexterity and precise hand/eye coordination, sitting and or standing in confined workspaces, using tools and equipment, and moving and handling materials.
  • Duties may require periodic heavy manual effort including lifting objects.
  • Duties require extended periods of sustained visual concentration on detailed documentation and product assemblies.
  • Above demands are carried out within the local existing Health and Safety guidelines.
Typical Experience
  • Two to Three years relevant experience.
Typical Education
  • High school diploma and additional courses after high school, or an equivalent combination of education and experience and a commitment towards further / additional education.
