Summary
Detailed Description

Performs tasks such as, but not limited to, the following:

  • Performs manual assembly, operation of automated assembly equipment, operation of automated test equipment, and inspection and repair of products in a cleanroom environment.
  • Will perform assembly, setup, test, troubleshooting and repairs.
  • Validation of final assembly by performing function testing of products.
  • Perform in process visual quality assurance inspection of components.
  • Perform inventory audits and line setups as needed.
  • Expected to help with continuous improvements projects.
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of mechanical assembly processes.
  • Prior experience using calibrated torque wrenches and hand tools.
  • High level of detail and quality standards.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Basic understanding of math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
  • Ability to recognize problems in the assembly process or with assembly components and work with their direct supervisor and/or engineering to address those problems.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a wide variety of internal and external customers.
  • Knowledge of computer applications and the ability to accurately perform tasks in some or all of the following applications: Word, Excel and Documentation control systems.
  • Esperance with ENET, DNET, serial communication testing preferred.
  • Exposure to leak detection and pressure decay testing preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of the use of multimeter preferred.
  • Understanding of ISO 5 and 7 cleanroom protocols preferred.
Physical Demands
  • Duties of this position are performed in an ISO 5 or 7 Cleanroom manufacturing environment with occasional to frequent exposure to elements such as noise, chemicals, operating machinery, etc.
  • Duties of the position require periodic light physical effort and exertion including prolonged repetitive motions requiring manual dexterity and precise hand/eye coordination, sitting and or standing in confinedworkspaces, using tools and equipment, and moving and handling materials.
  • Duties may require periodic heavy manual effort including lifting objects up to 25lbs.
  • Duties require extended periods of sustained visual concentration on detailed documentation and product assemblies.
  • Above demands are carried out within the local existing Health and Safety guidelines.
Typical Experience
  • Two to Three years of relevant experience.

  • High school diploma and additional courses after high school, or an equivalent combination of education and experience and a commitment towards further / additional education.
