2nd Shift- 3pm-11pm

Job Description: Loads, unloads, and moves material and maintains material and scrap within or near the plant, yard, or work site.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Examine the work area and equipment for safety hazards and damage. Report any unsafe work conditions or equipment malfunctions to the supervisor and provide constructive solutions.
• Follow all safe work procedures.
• Follows work orders, both oral and written, to ascertain materials or containers to be moved.
• Loads and unloads material such as logs, billets, finished goods, etc.
• Inspects and receives log from vendors.
• Creates Plex stickers for all incoming raw material and outgoing scrap.
• Process scrap placed in the un-weighed scrap area. Ensure correct weights and lengths are applied to scrap and logs.
• Complete and submit all required paperwork.
• Maintain high productivity with little supervision.
• General organization and housekeeping. Pick up and store spacers, remove damaged and bent spacers, arrange logs, and pick up failed or scrapped billets.
• Responsible for maintaining a clean work area.
• Operate and maintain the pucker machine. Cleaning, ensuring good working conditions, and adding coolant and oil as needed.
• Regularly check weighed scrap and logs for missing tag. Check the available inventory in Plex and reprint the correct labels.

Qualifications:

Forklift experience preferred.
