Job Description

Position Purpose: An entry-level manager, the Customer Service Team Lead, will assist the Store Team Lead and other assistant leads in their management duties. They share responsibility for the store's operation and performance. The Customer Service Team Lead oversees the front end of the grocery store, ensuring an outstanding shopping experience with quick and accurate transactions.

Responsibilities:

  • Engage with customers through smiles and greetings, offer product information, and thank customers genuinely.
  • Create a welcoming store environment for both team members and customers.
  • Operate cash registers and manage the customer service counter.
  • Direct all front-end operations of the store.
  • Work with courtesy clerks and cashiers, ensuring professionalism, productivity, and excellent customer service.
  • Enforce store rules and company policies.
  • Assist in selecting and training new team members.
  • Lead the department as a role model, coach, and trainer.
  • Ensure compliance with health and weights and measures regulations.
  • Order and merchandise general department items.
  • Follow safety guidelines and ensure team compliance.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Physical Demands: Standing, sitting, lifting (up to 50 lbs.), pushing, keyboarding, telephone use, walking, bending.
