Job summary

Heidelberg Materials is seeking a RMC Ready Mix Driver I to safely operate a ready-mix truck and deliver concrete to customer job sites on schedule in Rainbow City, Alabama. You will perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, maintain delivery records, and communicate with dispatch and customers to coordinate deliveries.

What You’ll Be Doing

Safely operate a ready-mix truck to deliver concrete to customer job sites on schedule.

Conduct pre-trip, post-trip, and routine vehicle inspections to ensure safe operation.

Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and plant personnel to coordinate deliveries.

Maintain accurate delivery documentation and comply with all company and regulatory requirements.

Provide outstanding customer service while ensuring safe and efficient deliveries.

What Are We Looking For

Commitment to safety and demonstrated ability to follow policies, procedures, and regulations.

Capability to safely operate commercial vehicles and equipment in a variety of conditions.

Strong communication and customer service skills with a team-oriented mindset.

Ability to perform vehicle inspections, complete required documentation, and manage delivery responsibilities.

Dependability, adaptability, and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Conditions of Employment

Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check. Some positions require FMCSA regulated ongoing drug and alcohol testing.

Work Environment

Role operates primarily in environments where the conditions include moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, cold, humidity, and elevated noise level.
