Scottsdale Unified School District is seeking a security-focused individual to provide a visible security presence at a school complex. Responsibilities include walking the grounds, monitoring student activities, identifying safety concerns, and reporting unauthorized personnel to the school office.

The role may require Crossing Guard training and DPS FPCC clearance depending on assignment, with duties including maintaining a safe environment and assisting in basic groundskeeping.

Qualificações

Position Objective

• Monitors activities on campus to ensure the safety of students, which may include: identifying safety violations; diffusing situations among students; reinforcing positive social behavior
• Performs minor housekeeping and groundskeeping tasks to keep the environment free of litter and/or dangerous situations.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: (positions in this class typically require)

High School Diploma or G.E.D.; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above.

LICENSING REQUIREMENTS: (positions in this class typically require)

Depending on assignment, may require:

• Ability to complete Crossing Guard training.
• Valid Department of Public Safety (DPS) Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card (FPCC)

KNOWLEDGE: (position requirements at entry)

Physical Requirements

Positions in this class typically require: reaching, finger dexterity, and grasping, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions.

Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.
