Job summary

Koton in Turkey is seeking a Fashion Designer to design collections aligned with brand objectives, understanding the target customer and current trends. You will hold regular weekly meetings with the Buying team to gather insights on fabrics, colors, and silhouettes, translate them into designs, and ensure fabrics are sourced and supplied on time.

You should have a Bachelor’s in Fashion Design, experience in Women’s/Men’s Wear or Accessories, and be proficient in Photoshop and Illustrator;

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Textile Design, or a related field.
• Previous design experience in the relevant category, including Women's Wear, Men's Wear, Accessories or Textile Design.
• Strong interest in fashion trends, with a strong sense of style and aesthetics.
• Proficiency in creating technical drawings using Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.
• Positive, team-oriented, eager to learn, and patient.
• Good command of English is preferred.
• Ability to develop original and creative designs that are aligned with the brand’s target audience.

Responsibilities

• Follow and analyze trends, innovations, and key players in the fashion industry, including manufacturers and other brands.
• Design collections and products in line with brand objectives by understanding the target customer profile.
• Hold regular weekly meetings with the Buying team to gather insights on best-selling fabrics, colors, and silhouettes, and incorporate these insights into collections.
• Interpret trends and innovations according to customer needs and preferences.
• Develop designs that align with the brand’s quality and pricing strategy.
• Follow up on fabric requirements for collections and ensure fabrics are sourced and supplied at the right time.
