Job summary

Intrepid Travel is seeking Tour Leaders in Turkey to inspire travellers and immerse them in local culture. You will lead tours, ensure safety, and manage day-to-day trip logistics, with flexibility across peak seasons and preparation for travel durations up to four weeks.

The role requires fluent English and Turkish, strong customer service experience, and a passion for Turkish travel. A valid first-aid certificate is required, and full rights to work in Turkey are essential.

• Deliver exceptional customer experiences and share your love of travel every step of the way - whether that’s leading a morning market walk, arranging a local craft workshop, or hosting a home-cooked meal with a family. You’ll help create moments that stay with our travellers long after the trip ends.
• Prioritise the safety and wellbeing of your group. You’ll stay calm and professional when challenges arise - from lost passports and medical needs to group dynamics - ensuring travellers feel supported the entire time.
• Lead and manage trips in line with itineraries and budgets, while completing all required trip administration accurately and on time.
• Bring our values to life - be Real in your connections, Ambitious in creating incredible experiences, work Together with your team and local partners, and make every journey Impactful for our travellers and the communities we visit.

To be considered you must have:

• Excellent communication in English and Turkish. (the more the better!)
• Strong customer service experience and experience in developing a rapport with a broad range of travellers
• Have travel experience across Turkey, and are passionate about sharing your region with our travellers!
• Have basic computer skills – including email, work, and excel experience
• Full rights to work in Turkey.

What you need to know:

• This is a freelance contract position, which will give you flexibility in when and how you work however, great availability across peak seasons (April-May and September-October) is a must-have
• You will need a valid first‑aid certificate prior to starting with us, we will provide the exam and certification if you do not have it
• We are recruiting for leaders between October and end of January with training commencing from mid February to March onwards
• With extended hours, lots of walking and activities, and engaging with travellers, so, it’s important that you are prepared both mentally and physically for the challenge!
• You’ll need the ability to travel and spend time away from home, as our leaders often travel for extensive periods at a time and some tours can span up to four weeks.
