Job summary

Fountain Tire High River is seeking a responsible Tire/Lube Technician to join our team. You will install, balance, rotate tires and service wheels with a focus on safety and quality workmanship.

Qualifications

• Previous tire experience is helpful, but training is available.
• Knowledge of passenger and light truck tires and wheels is an asset.
• Customer-service focus and ability to build relationships.
• Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.
• Ability to lift 25 kilograms.

Responsibilities

• Install, balance, rotate, and repair passenger and light truck tires and wheels.
• Reset TPMS and perform tire service as needed.
• Maintain tire service equipment on a regular schedule.
• Perform specialty tire work as required (studding, retread, etc.).
• Assist in inventory management and annual counts.
• Maintain personal and coworker safety at all times.

You will be responsible for:

• Installing, balancing, rotating, and repairing passenger and light truck tires and wheels
• Resetting and repairing tire pressure monitoring systems (TPMS)
• Maintaining tire service equipment on a regularly scheduled basis
• Completing specialty tire work which could include studding, retread, run flat, nitrogen, etc.
• Assist in inventory management through documentation processes and annual inventory counts
• The responsibility to keep yourself and your coworkers safe

What does it take to get on track?

• Someone with previous experience would be great, however we are willing to train motivated individuals with a positive attitude
• A working knowledge of passenger and light truck tires, specialty tire services and wheels is an asset
• A customer-service focus with the ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with team members and customers
• A keen attention to detail
• Ability to maintain a valid driver’s license and provide a satisfactory Driver’s Abstract
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to consistently lift 25 kilograms
