Medianova seeks a detail-oriented Test Engineer to enhance QA processes and ensure the reliability of our web platform. You will design tests, execute manual and automated strategies, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain high-quality standards.

The role emphasizes API and UI testing, using tools like Postman, Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress, within an Agile environment and with strong focus on edge cases and precision.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/SE or related field.
• 2+ years in software QA with strong manual testing.
• Strong knowledge of black-box testing techniques.
• Experience with web test automation tools (Selenium/Playwright/Cypress).
• Experience with API testing tools (Postman/REST-Assured).
• Proficiency with Jira and ClickUp for bug tracking.
• Experience with test case management tools (TestRail/Zephyr/Qase).
• Understanding of RESTful APIs, HTTP protocols, and backend testing.
• Git knowledge.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Good written and verbal English.

Responsibilities

• Execute manual testing across web applications to identify bugs, usability issues, and ensure quality standards are met.
• Design and maintain automated regression test suites using Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress for web UI testing.
• Perform API testing using Postman and REST-Assured to validate backend services.
• Document test cases, bug reports, and testing procedures with clear reproduction steps and expected results in TestRail or similar test management tools.
• Collaborate with developers and product teams to understand requirements and provide testing feedback during development cycles.
• Monitor and analyze test results from automated runs, investigate failures, and report issues through Jira and ClickUp.
• Participate in release planning and verify bug fixes before production deployment.
• Contribute to improving QA processes and testing efficiency through better tooling and documentation.
• Review requirements and acceptance criteria to identify test scenarios early in the development lifecycle.
• Apply black-box testing techniques to ensure comprehensive test coverage.

Required:

• Solid understanding of black-box testing techniques (boundary value analysis, equivalence partitioning, decision tables)
• Hands-on experience with web test automation tools such as Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress
• Experience with API testing tools including Postman and REST-Assured
• Proficiency with Jira and ClickUp for bug tracking and project management
• Experience with test case management tools such as TestRail, Zephyr, or Qase
• Understanding of RESTful APIs, HTTP protocols, and backend testing concepts
• Git knowledge
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and ability to think critically about edge cases
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English

Nice to Have:

• Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI)
