Job summary

Ernst & Young Advisory Services Sdn Bhd in Istanbul seeks an Assistant to join EY Tax Corporate Law Department. You will assist with day-to-day corporate legal and governance matters and support company incorporation, branch and liaison office establishment, liquidation, restructuring and other corporate projects.

The ideal candidate holds a Turkish law degree, admission to the Turkish Bar, up to 2 years post-qualification experience, and strong drafting, research and bilingual English-Turkish

Qualifications

• Turkish law degree or equivalent from a reputable university.
• Admission to Turkish Bar Association and completion of mandatory internship.
• Up to 2 years post-qualification experience in law firms, consultancies, or corporate legal departments.
• Excellent drafting, research and bilingual Turkish-English communication.

Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day corporate legal and governance matters.
• Support company incorporation, branch and liaison office establishment, liquidation and restructuring projects.
• Prepare and review corporate documents including board and shareholders' resolutions, powers of attorney and other records.
• Draft, review and negotiate commercial agreements and legal correspondence.
• Conduct legal due diligence and contribute to due diligence reports in M&A and restructurings.
• Perform legal research and prepare memoranda, opinions and client presentations.
• Monitor regulatory developments and assess impact on clients’ businesses.
• Coordinate with clients, authorities, notaries and other stakeholders.
• Assist in compliance and regulatory projects across industries.
• Maintain and organize legal files and project documentation.
