Job summary

DHL Freight in Istanbul seeks a Transport Procurement Specialist to manage transportation purchasing operations in line with procedures, coordinating with the purchasing supervisor.

You will handle tender processes, negotiate with suppliers, coordinate documentation, and ensure timely responses to DHL Partners abroad, while supporting ISO compliance and continuous improvement in the Turkish market.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• Fluent English is required.
• 2-3 years of experience in logistics sector.
• Good communication, analytical and problem solving skills.
• Result oriented, achiever and analytical.
• Negotiation skills are essential.
• Flexible to working hours and travel.
• Knowledge of products and processes is helpful.
• Willingness to travel for business.

Responsibilities

• Pricing and supplying all vehicle requests across Turkey.
• Coordinate communication between supplier and operation unit.
• Provide quick solutions when needed.
• Coordinate documentation and system updates regarding supplier.
• Follow up tender process.
• Visit customers and suppliers when necessary.
• Negotiate terms with suppliers.
• Co-load or vehicle purchases of all operational loads and ensure realization.
• Submit price offers to DHL Partners abroad and respond to emails timely.
• Control ongoing import/export operations and negotiate improvements with suppliers.
• Adhere to ISO 9001-14001-27001-50001, ISO 45001 management principles.
