Job Description

As a valuable team member of the Sustainability team for Decarbonization and Circularity you are shaping the Sustainability Strategy of ContiTech. Your tasks include:

  • Process Development & Integration:
    • Drive the development, documentation, implementation and continuous improvement of standards, rules and processes around strategic sustainability aspects (e.g., decarbonization, circularity) into the ContiTech process landscape
    • Develop and conduct trainings and act as the single point of contact
  • Regulations & reporting:
    • Support the evaluation of sustainability related regulations and act as team member / manager for specific regulation implementation projects
    • Closely collaborate with reporting team and identify process improvement potential by exploiting reported data
  • Research:
    • Conduct regular benchmarking of sustainability related solutions and approaches in market environment
    • Explore research activities & potential partnerships around decarbonization and circular economy
  • Project support
    • Support ongoing strategic sustainability projects
    • Willingly contribute to further potential future sustainability projects
Qualifications

Experience:

Sustainability Strategy & Policy

  • Understanding of global and EU sustainability frameworks (e.g., CSRD, EU Taxonomy, CBAM, Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation)
  • Experience in integrating sustainability into corporate strategy and operations.

Decarbonization & Circular Economy

  • Knowledge of carbon accounting (Scope 1, 2, 3), life cycle assessment (LCA), and circular business models.
  • Familiarity with industrial decarbonization technologies, circular design principles and business models.

Project & Change Management

  • Proven ability to work in cross-functional projects, ideally in a manufacturing or industrial context.
  • Experience with process integration and change management methodologies

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Master’s degree (or higher) in: Environmental Engineering, Sustainability Management, Industrial Ecology, Business Administration with a sustainability focus or similar
  • Experience in & strong motivation for working in multinational setups
  • Ability to translate complex regulatory or technical topics into actionable business strategies
  • Proven ability to work in corporate cross-functional projects, ideally in a manufacturing or industrial context. Strong analytical and communication skills. Collaborative mindset with stakeholder engagement experience.
  • 3+ years preferably in industrial or manufacturing sectors. Experience working with or within regulatory bodies or sustainability consulting firms is a plus.
  • Fluent in English
  • Willingness to occasionally travel internationally
