Purpose of the job:
- Organize co-engineering and industrial development to optimize product and process design for manufacturability.
- Ensure transferability of industrial activities using standard processes.
- Drive industrialization resources through tenders, development, pre-serial, and serial production phases.
- Manage Special Processes and critical operations related to product safety and reliability.
Organization Structure: Refer to standard PME organization chart.
Organizational Reporting: Reports to the Site Industrial Director.
Network and links:
- On Site: Engineering Dir, Manufacturing Dir, Supply chain Dir.
- At Alstom level: PME Network, Central PME Director.
- External of AT: Local suppliers, Customer representatives on site, Certification agencies.
Responsibilities:
- Define industrial assumptions (PIO, MoB, Macro-process) aligned with industrial Reflib and SMP/SML of the product range.
- Validate quotations related to industrial costs.
- Implement standard processes and solutions: SMP/SML, standard equipment, standard solutions.
- Ensure manufacturability and transferability using validated technologies.
- Follow-up co-engineering methodology and rules to optimize lead time and quality.
- Validate gate reviews of the DFQ for the industrial scope and ensure conditions for Serial Go are met.
- Ensure complete, timely, and quality documentation and ERP data.
- Organize and ensure timely implementation of manufacturing equipment, complying with EHS, ergonomic, and QCD standards.
- Drive continuous improvement actions and support production.
Management of Resources:
- Manage staff capacity and competencies.
- Control workload forecasts.
- Manage EHS requirements in industrialization and as a management committee member.
- Participate in PME Networks and contribute to standards development.
- Promote active participation of team members in relevant networks.
Educational Requirements:
- Technical education.
- Strong management skills.
Desired Knowledge / Experience:
- 10+ years of industrial experience, preferably in the railway industry within an international organization.
- Experience managing engineers and technicians.
- Proficiency in Process Engineering, work instruction development, line balancing, Lean Manufacturing.
- Experience with ERP systems like SAP for BOM, routings, configuration.
- Knowledge of Quality and Health & Safety standards.
- Conscientious, committed, team-oriented, decisive, and capable of coaching others.
- Self-motivated, logical, organized, with good communication skills.
