Signalling Hardware Application Engineer

Purpose of the Job: Prepare and execute Signalling Hardware and application engineering activities in support to one or several Bids / Projects and/or Programs in line with Signalling Strategy, Policies (including EHS, Railway Safety, Local Regulations and Professional Standards) and Bids and Projects QCD’s targets.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronic and Control Engineering
2. At least 2 years of successful experience in Engineering / Technical functions in railway projects
3. Knowledge of railway systems, available equipment and systems, especially for the railway signalling
4. Good knowledge of AutoCAD
5. Experience in Visual Basic Applications for AutoCAD
6. Experience in electrical diagram design such as scheme plan, cable plan, wiring diagram, cabinet configuration etc.
7. Fluent in English
8. Very good interpersonal skills
9. Self-motivated for technical matters and quick learning
10. Position based in Istanbul
11. No restrictions to travel

Responsibilities:

1. Prepare and execute Hardware and application engineering activities in support to one or several Bids / Projects and/or Programs’ initiatives for technologies of railway signalling under the direction of his/her hierarchy and in conformance with Transport policies and standards, applicable regulations and professional standards (including EHS).
2. Prepare the Hardware and application engineering drawings.
3. Deliver hardware design drawings, cable plans, wiring diagrams, cabinet design, rack configuration, signaling equipment rooms layout, etc.
4. For IXL (Interlocking), support to produce Control Tables / Route Tables.
5. Take ownership of the assigned tasks.
6. Support in the Bill of Materials (BOM) preparation, including equipment codification and quantities.
7. Support to analyze requirements in Doors.
8. Organize and produce documentation, hardware design deliveries accordingly to the project templates and needs.
9. Analyze and manage design change requests and participate actively in the definition of the HW package to be delivered to the V&V, installation and Testing & Commissioning teams.
10. Ensure independence of the design activity from the verification activity.
11. Manage all documents from the customer project to carry out signalling engineering studies during all project life.
