Job summary

Avesoro is seeking an experienced Senior Underground Ventilation Engineer for our underground gold mining operations. You will develop ventilation plans, monitor air quality, and optimize systems to ensure safe, compliant conditions.

Responsibilities include ventilation modelling, surveys, risk assessments, and collaboration with Mining, Planning, and HSE teams to drive continuous improvements in safety and energy efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering or a related field.
• Postgraduate qualification in Mine Ventilation is advantageous.
• Minimum 5 years in underground mining with significant ventilation responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Prepare short-, medium-, and long-term ventilation plans aligned with development and production schedules.
• Conduct ventilation surveys, airflow measurements, gas monitoring, and environmental assessments.
• Design, model, monitor, and optimize primary and secondary ventilation systems for underground facilities, ensuring safety and compliance.
