Job summary

F5 Networks, Inc. is seeking a Sr. Solutions Engineer to drive new business by shaping product, solution and service choices for strategic customers.

You will lead technical strategies, design complex architectures, and guide both sales teams and clients through proofs of concept and architecture work. The role requires deep technical knowledge across networking, security, cloud and SaaS, plus expert-level programming and Kubernetes skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related areas, or equivalent level of experience.
• 8+ years pre-sales experience in IT with networking, application delivery, security, cloud and SaaS expertise.
• Internal subject matter expert within the function.
• Ability to guide sales and internal teams; acts as resource for other functions.
• Strong understanding of Web Protocols and architectures (HTTP/TLS/SSL), programming languages (Python, JavaScript, Golang), and Kubernetes concepts.
• Knowledge of Networking, Data Center, Virtualization, Cloud environments, and solution sizing.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement technical strategies that support sales objectives.
• Act as a thought leader at conferences, webinars, events.
• Lead design of highly complex, integrated solutions for strategic clients.
• Mentor other solutions engineers.
• Engage with strategic clients at executive level to align solutions with long-term goals.
