Job summary

OdeonTech is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to join a global engineering team building scalable digital products and services. You will take ownership of technical requirements and contribute to architectural decisions, with a strong focus on Node.js backend development.

You will design, develop, and maintain backend services, collaborate closely with product and engineering teams, participate in code reviews, and help shape system design.

The role has a strong focus on Node.Js backend development and system design. We are looking for engineers who can take ownership of technical requirements and contribute to architectural decisions.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services on different applications
• Contribute to System design and software architecture
• Take ownership of backend components and services
• Work closely with engineering and product teams
• Participate in code reviews and follow established engineering practices
• Collaborate effectively with the existing engineering team
• Help frontend development on Next.Js or Flutter
• Following the engineering standards, practices, code review process, security policies.

Requirements:

• Strong experience with Node.js
• Strong system design and software architecture skills
• Experience designing and developing scalable backend systems
• Solid understanding of APIs, databases, and backend engineering principles
• Experience with PostgreSQL / Aurora
• Experience with AWS is a plus
