Job summary

Mars Athletic Club in Istanbul, Türkiye, invites a Senior Software Engineer to join our Technology team at the Ortaköy headquarters. You will design, develop, test and deploy backend services and APIs for our digital products, taking end-to-end ownership from design to production.

You will collaborate with analysts, product managers and engineers to plan and deliver solutions, contribute to scalable architectures, and mentor junior engineers while leveraging AI-assisted development practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.
• 5+ years of software development experience, including web-based projects.
• Experience with .NET ecosystem, REST APIs and distributed systems.
• Strong analytical thinking and creative problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams.
• Experience in Agile environments and willingness to continuously improve.
• Professional working proficiency in English.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test and deploy backend services and APIs for our digital products
• Take end-to-end ownership of features, from technical design through development and deployment to production
• Collaborate with Business Analysts, Product Managers, Software Engineers and Test Engineers to plan and deliver new solutions
• Contribute to architectural decisions and help build scalable, maintainable and sustainable systems
• Actively participate in code reviews and contribute to knowledge sharing across the team
• Investigate and resolve software issues and production incidents, providing technical support when needed
• Identify and implement long-term solutions for recurring technical issues
• Challenge and continuously improve existing architectures, processes and engineering practices through innovative ideas
• Support and mentor less experienced engineers, helping them grow technically and professionally
• Leverage AI-powered coding assistants such as GitHub Copilot, Claude and similar tools to accelerate day-to-day development
• Utilize AI-assisted testing, documentation and code review practices
• Explore and experiment with AI-powered development workflows and automation
• Follow responsible and secure AI usage practices throughout the software development lifecycle

What Are We Looking For?
