What are my responsibilities?

• Contribute to solutions architectures, requirements elicitation, and process improvements.
• Produce high-quality project deliverables on time and within effort estimates.
• Drive enterprise, system, and integration architecture of our portfolio.
• Collaborate with product management, product owners, and R&D management to establish and implement technical and reuse strategies.
• Work with architects and development teams in an international, distributed setup to guide software system architecture.
• Make system-wide and cross-cutting architectural decisions, document and review them.
• Mentor team members and junior architects to build empowered teams.
• Adhere to Siemens processes, quality standards, and guidelines.

What do I need to qualify for this job?

• BSc., MSc., or PhD. in computer science or related fields.
• Proven 10+ years of experience in software development.
• Expertise in frameworks and languages such as C, C++, GoLang, Python, Shell, etc.
• Deep understanding of Linux Kernel, OS internals, open source development, tools, and libraries.
• Familiarity with Yocto, BitBake recipes, and Kas configuration tool.
• Hands-on experience with open-source Linux projects like Isar, Elbe, Yocto Project, Buildroot.
• Knowledge of system partitioning.
• Expertise in containerization and networking is a plus.
• Experience with git repositories and CI/CD systems.
• Knowledge of SCRUM and Agile processes.
• Excellent command of English; German is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• No restrictions on traveling abroad.
