Job summary

Siemens Mobility Turkey is seeking a Senior Robotics Connectivity and Real-Time Systems Engineer to design, implement and maintain production-grade robot interfaces and real-time control components across advanced automation projects.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in software development, strong C++, Python, and ROS 2 skills, experience with UR/ SRCI/ OPC UA, and a proven ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Degree in a relevant engineering field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Experience with robot communication interfaces and interoperability standards.
• Experience in impedance and admittance control and force/torque sensing.
• Experience with real-time systems and industrial protocols (PROFINET, OPC UA, etc.).
• Strong C++, Python, and ROS 2 experience with testing and integration.
• Experience with Scrum/Agile development is an advantage.
• Very good command of English and strong collaboration skills.

What do I need to qualify for this job?

• BSc., MSc., or PhD. in Mechatronics Engineering, Control and Automation Engineering, Computer Engineering/Science, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
• Proven track record with 5+ years of professional software development experience
• Experience with industrial robot communication interfaces and interoperability standards, including UR RTDE, URScript, SRCI, OPC UA, and similar robot controller communication technologies
• Experience in impedance and admittance control, force/torque sensing and calibration, compliance control strategies, and servo-level motion command streaming
• Experience with industrial communication protocols and real-time systems, including PROFINET, IRT, OPC UA, cycle-time optimization, latency and jitter analysis, and motion control concepts
• Strong experience with C++, Python, ROS 2 (including ros2_control and related drivers), protocol analysis, interoperability testing, and software integration
• Experience in performance analysis, diagnostics, controller trace and log evaluation, latency measurement, system troubleshooting, and hardware-in-the-loop validation
• Familiarity with industrial robot controllers and automation platforms such as Universal Robots, ABB, FANUC, KUKA, SIMATIC, SINUMERIK, or comparable technologies is an advantage
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary engineering teams
• Knowledge of and experience with Scrum and Agile development methodologies is an advantage
• Very good command of English
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder communication skills
• No restriction for travelling abroad
