ŞansTech is seeking a Senior PostgreSQL Database Administrator to join our Database Management team. Dynamic, proactive, and organized professionals will help manage PostgreSQL systems in production and development, drive migrations, and implement scalable automation.

You will optimize performance, support incident response, and collaborate with development teams on schema changes and query tuning. Strong knowledge of replication, backup, and high availability is essential.

Qualifications

• BSc in Computer Science or related field.
• At least 5 years of experience as a Database Administrator.
• Strong PostgreSQL hands-on experience in production.
• Knowledge of replication and high availability.
• Backup/recovery and disaster recovery best practices.
• Experience with monitoring relational and NoSQL databases.
• Automation and configuration management (Ansible).
• Unix/Linux shell scripting experience.
• Experience managing large-scale OLTP systems.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Responsabilités

• Manage and continuously improve PostgreSQL systems in production and development environments.
• Participate in maintenance, upgrades, and database migrations.
• Automate management of new and existing databases to ensure processes are repeatable and scalable.
• Tune database performance using diagnostic tools to identify inefficient SQL and bottlenecks.
• Take an active role in incident support, root cause analysis, and prevention of recurring issues.
• Support development teams with schema design changes and query optimization.
• Manage backup, recovery, replication, and high availability strategies for PostgreSQL.

Key Responsibilities

• Experience with backup/recovery tools and disaster recovery best practices
• Experience with monitoring relational and NoSQL databases
• Strong performance tuning and troubleshooting skills
