Job summary

OBXtek is seeking a Network Security Systems Instructor II to train Bureau of Diplomatic Security staff. The role involves classroom instruction across NSS disciplines like CCTV, data center configuration, and cyber security countermeasures. Candidates should excel at translating complex topics for security professionals with varying backgrounds.

Required 4+ years in technical security roles, strong communication, and prior instructor experience. DoD DoS installation familiarity is a plus; U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level or equivalent technical education with 4+ years of hands-on experience in security systems.
• Experience installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and repairing NSS equipment and related IT/networking hardware.
• Experience with DoS installation requirements is preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to explain technical concepts to diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Teach multiple topics covering at least 15 days of course materials and mentor other instructors.
• Complete instructor qualification training and demonstrate proficiency in adult learning principles.
• Deliver hands-on training with demonstrations, lab exercises, and written exams.
• Prepare classrooms and labs, manage training materials, and set up AV equipment.
• Maintain training records, reorder materials, and ensure labs are ready for next course.
