Werner Sobek AG Germany Headquarter Turkiye Branch Office is looking for a Senior Mechanical Design Manager to join our Engineering Group in Istanbul on a variety of prestigious projects in Turkiye and worldwide

Your responsibilities

• Managing design and delivery of mechanical engineering solutions on major and/or complex projects
• Working closely with other design engineers, architects and members of the project management group
• Preparing and coordinating work with engineers of other disciplines and project managers
• Attending meetings and communicating with clients to establish their needs
• Providing quality control for mechanical engineering projects
• Managing both project teams and cross-functional teams within the organizational structure
• Lead change in new systems and technologies
• Mentoring and developing less experienced engineers
• Supporting site management team in review and evaluation of mechanical technical, tender construction site documentation and interim payment certificates
• Shall visit site if required, one day or a couple of days basis for resolution of technical issues

Your profile

• Bachelor’s and/or master’s degree in mechanical engineering (master is preferrable)
• Minimum of 10 years postgraduate experience in building engineering and design
• Experience in mechanical design across a range of medium to large scale projects and/or building types for national and worldwide projects and norms
• Familiar with Building Information Modelling (BIM)
• Good inter-discipline coordination skills as well as analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent planning, organization and communication skills (both written and verbal)
• Fluency in English is a must. German is preferrable.
• Experience with European and Russian mechanical design codes and projects
