Job summary

Cyrex, a Magic Media company, is a load-testing expert that designs scenarios modeling real user behavior in Python and validates them against customer systems. You’ll work closely with clients, guiding test design, running tests, and interpreting results to identify bottlenecks.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of software engineering experience with ownership of delivered work.
• Strong Python skills for test scenarios and tooling.
• Hands-on AWS experience, including infrastructure as code and containers.
• Breadth to maintain a typed backend and a React frontend not originally built by you.
• Practical understanding of distributed systems and their failure modes.
• Excellent spoken and written English and the ability to lead technical sessions with customers.
• Experience with performance or load-testing tools (Locust, k6, JMeter, Gatling) is a strong advantage.

Responsibilities

• Design test scenarios that model real user behavior and implement them in Python.
• Work directly with customers, guiding test design and results interpretation.
• Lead technical sessions as you grow into the role and own parts of engagements.
• Maintain and upgrade the load-testing platform, including bug fixes and infrastructure changes.
• Analyze results, identify bottlenecks, propose changes, and iterate with the customer team.
