adesso Turkey is seeking a Senior Linux Platform Engineer to own the automated OS build chain and create golden images for bare metal, VMs and containers. You will engineer RHEL builds for OpenShift and VMware, enforce CIS/STIG baselines, and automate monitoring and firmware lifecycles.

You will collaborate with IT consultants, delivery managers, QA, BE/FE and mobile teams, while mentoring colleagues and shaping Linux engineering standards across the group.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of enterprise Linux experience, incl. 3+ years in build/engineering roles.
• Deep RHEL knowledge (7/8/9) and ability to explain changes between versions.
• Hands-on with Satellite, Kickstart and Ansible for automation.
• Strong troubleshooting using standard OS tools and networking basics.

Responsibilities

We are looking for Senior Linux Platform Engineer (RHEL / OpenShift) to join our fast-paced and self-accountable team that delivers enterprise-level products for local and global markets. You will work with IT consultants, delivery managers, QA teams, BE, FE, and mobile developers to deliver best-in-class digital products.

What will you do?

• Own the automated OS build chain: Red Hat Satellite, Kickstart, PXE/Redfish, Packer and Ansible
• Build and maintain golden images for bare metal, VMs and containers (Quay), plus tuned profiles for specific workloads such as databases
• Engineer RHEL builds for OpenShift (Virtualization and containers) and VMware
• Define Linux security baselines (CIS/STIG) and enforce them as code, including automatic drift remediation
• Tune kernel, memory, IO and TCP stack for performance-critical workloads
• Automate monitoring and firmware lifecycle for Dell/HPE servers and integrate with Splunk, ELK, AppDynamics and SIEM platforms
• Build Python/Ansible tooling and AI-assisted solutions, such as LLM-based log/RCA assistants, runbook generation and ChatOps
• Act as L3 escalation for critical incidents and lead root-cause analysis
• Turn your work into reusable team assets and help define our Linux engineering standards
• Mentor colleagues and share knowledge across the team

What are we looking for?

• 8+ years of enterprise Linux, including at least 3 years in an engineering or build role
• Deep RHEL knowledge (7/8/9) and the ability to explain what changed between versions and why it matters
• Hands-on Red Hat Satellite, Kickstart and Ansible
• Strong troubleshooting with standard OS tooling (perf, strace, sar, tcpdump, bpftrace)
• Python and Bash for production automation
• Solid fundamentals in DNS, NTP, NFS, SNMP, SMTP, AD/SSSD integration and TCP/IP

Nice to have

• RHCE (or willing to obtain within 6 months), RHCA
• OpenShift Virtualization, Quay and Packer
• Kubernetes on AWS/Azure and cloud certifications
• Experience building AI-driven automation for infrastructure operations (e.g. LLM-based troubleshooting, log analysis or self-healing workflows)
• Experience in banking or other regulated environments
• RHEL 6 legacy experience
