Job summary

Jobgether in Turkey is seeking a Senior Backend Developer (Go) to architect and build reliable, scalable backend systems for a business-critical energy trading platform, leveraging deep Go expertise and AI-assisted tooling to accelerate delivery.

You will mentor engineers, emphasize test-driven development, security, and performance, and collaborate with product managers and frontend teams to shape core backend features in a fully remote environment.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of backend software development experience with system architecture responsibilities.
• Strong proficiency in Go; experience with Rust is a plus.
• Experience optimizing high-throughput, low-latency systems and diagnosing bottlenecks.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools and CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services with a focus on performance and security.
• Review code and PRs from humans and AI agents to ensure quality and architectural alignment.
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications for AI coding agents.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to backend engineering best practices.
• Monitor latency, throughput, and resource utilization in production.
• Collaborate with product managers and frontend teams to deliver critical features.
• Apply secure coding practices and ensure compliance requirements.
• Design and optimize database schemas across relational, time-series databases.
