Creating new games is a part of Rovio DNA and we are now looking for a Senior Game Designer to add to one of our growing teams working on a new action title. In this role, your goal is to lead the design of key features, balancing creative vision with commercial success to create an engaging experience for our players.

The majority of the team is today located in our studio in Izmir and we are also looking to expand the team to Barcelona, Spain. If you are in Türkiye but not in Izmir yet, we are able to support you with the move. If in Spain, we are able to provide work permit sponsorship if needed, but are not open to relocate to Spain at the moment.

You will have impact and fun at work by:

• Creating new game concepts and overseeing features from initial design to live implementation.
• Conceptualizing and developing systems that balance creative vision with business goals for a Free-to-Play (F2P) mobile game.
• Partnering closely with Product, Art, and Engineering teams to align on a cohesive vision and drive features to a high-quality standard.
• Analyzing game data and player feedback to identify issues, uncover new opportunities, and optimize live content.
• Effectively pitching your design ideas and advocating for a player-first mindset.

Experience and skills we are looking for:

• 5+ years of experience in game design, with a strong focus on systems and features in F2P and Live Service games.
• Proven expertise using data and analytics to inform design decisions and refine features based on player behavior.
• Strong systems thinking, with the ability to design and iterate on complex game mechanics and progression loops.
• Deep understanding of player engagement, retention, and monetization strategies.
• Excellent communication skills for presenting and pitching designs and collaborating effectively across teams.
• Familiarity with game engines like Unity to prototype or validate design ideas.
