Job summary

Kidde Global Solutions in Gdańsk, Poland is seeking a Senior Firmware Engineer to own critical firmware components, including RTOS, sub-GHz integration, secure updates, and EN50131 Grade 3 compliant solutions.

You will influence product architecture, cybersecurity, performance, and production readiness across global deployments, collaborating with cross-functional teams and global engineering across time zones. Relocation support is provided.

Qualifications

• Strong Embedded C experience.
• Cybersecurity background.
• Experience with ARM Cortex-M microcontrollers.
• Knowledge of RTOS and bare-metal development.
• Experience debugging embedded systems.
• Fluent English.

Responsibilities

• Lead architectural decisions for critical firmware components and influence hardware design, communication protocols, and cybersecurity implementation across multiple product lines.
• Define Everon product family integration logic for EN50131 Grade3 compliant devices,
• Ensure the quality of the solution by working closely with the QA team and performing debugging and bug‑fixing activities
• Support verification, validation, certification, and production processes with technical expertise.
• Collaborate with Product Management, Hardware, Compliance, and Cybersecurity teams during development and troubleshooting.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, design specifications, and internal development guidelines.
• Work with global engineering teams across time zones to ensure consistent implementation and knowledge sharing.
