Sönmez Transformer Company ( STS ) is a fast-growing company in the energy sector. STS manufactures power transformers, special transformers for different applications, and reactors. STS was founded in 1976. Our production plant is located in Dilovasi, Kocaeli and we have an office in Istanbul Anatolian Side. Our current export rate is more than 95% worldwide; our main markets are Central Europe, North America, and Australia.

We are looking for a Senior Financial Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of financial reporting and analysis, as well as experience with project controlling.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and develop the company\'s budget by coordinating relevant departments/business units
  • Proven experience in managing collection, cash flow, and cost accounting processes. Participated in IFS project control or similar systems with strong analytical skills to deconstruct and evaluate related processes.
  • Actively involved in collection, cash flow, and cost accounting processes. Experienced in IFS project control processes or similar systems, with the ability to analyze and differentiate workflows at a detailed level.
  • Lead the month-end closing activities and prepare timely reporting of operating data to compare actual performance and report deviations
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and yearly financial reports
  • Generate management reports to provide financial insight and information
  • Coordinate and manage independent audit processes
  • Drive and assist in cost-saving actions through process improvements to increase profitability
  • Establish and improve systems for financial planning and reporting
  • Implement and execute internal control procedures to ensure compliance and mitigate risks
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Industrial Engineering or a related field
  • Minimum 4 year of relevant experience in financial reporting, planning or project controlling
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
