We are looking for a Senior Direct Purchasing Specialist to work in the Purchasing and Production Planning Department.

Minimum qualifications:

• University degree, preferably in Mechanical, Industrial, Metallurgy, or Material Engineering
• Minimum 2 years of experience in purchasing
• Fluency in English is required
• Experience in managing internal and external customer relations
• Knowledge of SAP MM and/or SAP SRM
• No travel restrictions for domestic and international travel
• Problem-solving skills and analytical mindset

What do we expect from you?

• Searching for local and international suppliers, managing supplier relations, and organizing business relations
• Implementing material cost improvement activities
• Conducting localization studies
• Preparing sourcing contracts for your responsible suppliers
• Monitoring business issues affecting material costs
• Supporting related departments regarding quality, capacity, and supply problems
• Taking initial responsibility and coordination for all material cost-related studies in Arçelik-LG
• Addressing supplier-caused scraps and losses, and reporting results monthly
• Participating in new product development activities related to supply issues
• Monitoring market conditions for your responsible materials
• Participating in the supplier performance evaluation process
• Reporting cost changes affecting your responsible materials
• Monitoring daily raw material and exchange rate fluctuations, and reporting them
